The Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Portland announced the election of Mark Birge, Partner of AKT, as a board member for 2015. ACG is a global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, professional development and business networking. It currently consists of almost 120 Portland C-level executives and business owners of growth-oriented companies.
Mark joined AKT in 1989 after nearly 10 years experience with a former “Big 8” CPA firm. He provides high touch tax and financial planning services to high net worth individuals and business owners through AKT and our Private Wealth group. He helps clients identify and achieve their overall financial goals and objectives by accessing a network of resources and relationships. Mark received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Washington State University and a Juris Doctorate from Willamette University Law School. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Oregon State Bar and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently the President of the LO Chamber of Commerce and has been on the board and held leadership roles with the Lake Oswego Rotary, the Lake Oswego School Foundation, the Lakewood Center for the Arts, the Lake Oswego Soccer Club, and the OHSU planned giving board. He was honored as Lake Oswego’s Community Leader of the Year in 2009.
