FAR Introductory Training: Welcome to the FAR Side
Come with us on a journey to get “comfortable” with Part 31 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and government contract accounting. For this introductory training, Diana Strassmaier, CPA, CCIFP®, will cover the most common pitfalls, how to avoid them, and critical control areas. In this webinar, you’ll learn:
- What it means to comply with the FAR
- How financial information is presented under the FAR vs. under standards required for financial statements and tax returns
- Your role in supporting compliance
Diana will outline future trainings to help you become a true FAR aficionado, or at least a willing accomplice. Subsequent sessions will cover best practices for timekeeping and payroll, internal controls, chart of accounts, maintaining books and records, and being prepared for self-certifying your rate or having an audit.
