Kenton Popovich joined Aldrich CPAs and Advisors in 2016. Since then, he has worked in both the attestation and tax service lines for the nonprofit sector as well as multiple industries including manufacturing, construction, architecture and engineering, growth services and emerging markets, and healthcare. While his primary focus is financial statement audits and reviews, he has also worked regularly on program compliance audits and agreed upon procedures, indirect cost rate (overhead) audits, single audits, employee benefit plan audits, corporate and nonprofit tax returns, and financial statement compilations. His topical specialties include revenue recognition, particularly for nonprofit organizations, and lessor lease accounting. He especially enjoys working with less experienced organizations, helping them to understand accounting standards and principles.
Kenton graduated from Portland State University with a post-baccalaureate degree in accounting and also has a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Northwestern University. He is also a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and serves as the Board Treasurer for the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, a nonprofit arts organization with a focus on the inclusion and acceptance of all people. Outside of work, Kenton enjoys choral music, ballroom dance, and discussions of psychology, theology, and linguistics.
