Manufacturing business leaders in the Pacific Northwest maintain a generally optimistic outlook despite the evolving regulation landscape. To better understand manufacturers’ perspectives on critical issues, ongoing challenges, and advancements impacting their operations, Aldrich—in partnership with Schwabe—surveyed more than 40 private manufacturers across the Pacific Northwest. The survey results reveal key trends influencing the industry and how manufacturing business leaders are shaping their strategy in 2025 and beyond.

Key Findings:

  • Labor: 100% of survey respondents are concerned about labor shortages.
  • Business transition: 48% of respondents plan to make a transition in executive leadership or ownership in the next five years
  • Cyber: Data privacy and cybersecurity are considered a top technology concern by 90% of survey respondents
