LAKE OSWEGO, OR, August 5, 2021 — Philanthropy is an integral part of Aldrich’s mission and identity. As a business that seeks to improve the lives of our people, communities, and clients, we replaced our traditional Action Day, an annual day of service where each of our geographic locations volunteers together, with Action Week. Finally, after more than a year of socially distanced and virtual volunteering, our teams were ready to offer helping hands to nonprofit organizations that make our communities great.
In mid-July, we had more than 60 Aldrich employees volunteering in person across the country. Our Carlsbad and Mission Valley offices participated in a beach cleanup with the Surfrider Foundation, where they helped beautify parts of California’s magnificent coastline. Salem staff helped support both the Willamette Humane Society and the Church at the Park. Aldrich’s headquarters in Lake Oswego helped the Hillsboro Public Library sort and prepare books for a book sale at the county fair. Other team members also participated in Action Week by volunteering individually or virtually.
“Our communities offer incredible resources and opportunities for people from all walks of life. Because we know how much of a difference these organizations make in our lives first-hand, Aldrich is proud to give back and donate our time. Extending Action Day into Action Weeks showcases the care and dedication our people put into their communities year-round,” said CEO John Lauseng.
Aldrich proudly provides every employee, at every level, paid volunteer time, and we are committed to being a positive force in our communities as business leaders, but more importantly, as people.
