Josh Axelrod joined Aldrich in 2023 as the Chief Operating Officer and in 2025 he was also named president of Aldrich Solutions, which provides consulting services to private companies and their owners.
As President of Aldrich Solutions, Josh leads teams delivering business strategy, technology solution design and implementation, AI-enabled transformation, technical selection, information security, and cybersecurity assessment and risk services. Drawing on extensive experience in cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and digital transformation, he helps organizations leverage artificial intelligence to improve operational efficiency, accelerate innovation, and enhance client outcomes.
Josh holds numerous certifications across cybersecurity architecture, IT governance, risk management, audit, and data privacy. He is a member of the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Josh holds a certification Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification – Registered Practitioner Advanced (CMMC-RPA).
As COO of the Aldrich group of companies, he leads internal operations to support growth and scalability in service to clients and team members. To achieve desired outcomes and drive results, Josh uses his expansive engineering, technology, security, and operations expertise to invent and simplify new ways of working.
Josh also leads Aldrich’s AI-driven client experience initiatives, helping organizations apply artificial intelligence to create capacity, improve service delivery, strengthen client relationships, and unlock new opportunities for growth.
He earned the 2026 Portland Business Journal’s Executive of the Year Awards for his role as COO. This award recognizes leaders who demonstrated exceptional strategic vision, operational excellence, and transformative impact during the 2024–2025 calendar year.
Prior to joining Aldrich, Josh was a Partner at Ernst & Young, US LLP and served as Chief Technology Officer for Security Assurance at Amazon Web Services.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from Marylhurst University. He also serves on the boards of iUrban Teen and the Oregon State University College of Business.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being outdoors through hunting, fishing, hiking, and dirt biking.
