Each year, AKT Wealth Advisors donates to a worthy cause in honor of their clients and in lieu of providing Christmas gifts, often donating to children- or family-oriented causes.

This year, the donations from our Oregon offices went to the Dental Foundation of Oregon’s Tooth Taxi. The Tooth Taxi was launched in September 2008 through an innovative partnership with OEA Choice Trust, The Dental Foundation of Oregon (DFO) and ODS. A state of the art dental clinic on wheels, the Tooth Taxi visits approximately 50 sites, serves 3,000 children and provides more than $700,000 in donated dental services each year.

One of our wealth clients spearheaded the creation of this renovated RV that travels around Oregon providing dental care to underprivileged children. Several of our dental clients also volunteer in the Tooth Taxi.

The donations from our San Diego office went to the Semper Fi Fund. Semper Fi provides financial assistance and lifetime support to post 9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. Created by a group of Marine Corps spouses in 2004, the fund ensures that these service members and their families have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities.
