Presented by Aldrich CPAs + Advisors

LAKE OSWEGO, OR, DEC 14, 2022— Aldrich CPAs + Advisors is pleased to welcome Dion Nero as the Director of Utility Consulting. Nero brings nearly 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to the role, including leading large-scale project management and building strategic partnerships with rural development programs.

“I am enthused to be involved with a family- and team-oriented company that puts their employees first,” shared Dion Nero, Director of Utility Consulting. “Aldrich has a strong presence in the telecommunication accounting field in many states, and I am honored to expand Aldrich’s opportunity in the regulatory, funding, and consulting space. What excites me even more are the attributes I’ve seen Aldrich place a premium on— opportunity, vision, honor, respect, diversity, and growth.”

Prior to joining Aldrich, Nero gained 20 years of experience leading the Tulsa office of an esteemed telecommunications advisory firm, where he developed his expertise in cooperatives, tribal telecommunications companies, and privately-owned incumbent local exchange carriers. A trusted project manager, Nero led a $30 million fiber build stretching from the Alaskan coast to the Dalton highway. His areas of focus also included CEO and GM consulting, organizing government grants and loans, and managing Federal and State regulatory reporting.

“We are really excited to have Dion join our team. His knowledge and expertise as a regulatory consultant in the telecom industry is a perfect complement to the financial consulting and traditional CPA services we currently provide to communication, broadband, and utility companies. Dion is enthusiastic about helping people, identifying opportunities, and solving problems,” said Amy Fenerty, CPA, Partner.

Nero earned his bachelor’s in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. He is engaged in the national telecommunications community, as a member of the Alaska Telephone Association, Oklahoma Telephone Association, Western Telephone Alliance, and NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association. Outside of work, Nero spends quality time with his family and enjoys the outdoors by fishing with friends.
