INSIDE Public Accounting Methodology
In 2019, IPA received 550 surveys from firms to determine the rankings for the IPA 100, 200, 300 and 400. Some firms opted out of recognition. Most metrics are self-reported by the firms, others are calculated by IPA based on firm responses. All firm submissions are thoroughly reviewed, and firms are contacted to provide clarifications to assure comparable data across firms. All growth in revenue and income reported in this publication are organic, unless otherwise noted. All metrics are based on the firms that responded to each survey question and exclude the Big 4 firms.
