At Aldrich, we exist to improve the lives of our people, our clients and our communities, which is why we honor one of our employees each year with the Steve M. Tatone Servant Leadership Award. Our CEO of nearly 40 years, Steve Tatone, believes that our mission starts and ends with selfless giving to help those around us. With this award, we recognize an individual that has truly gone beyond the scope of their responsibilities to lead with a motivated spirit and a sense of compassion.
Aldrich is excited to announce the recipient of the 2020 Steve M. Tatone Servant Leadership Award: Joylyn Ankeney. Joylyn was nominated by several people within Aldrich who all agreed she was the perfect fit for this award. A jack-of-all-trades for Aldrich CPAs + Advisors, she primarily works in our trust and estate services. Nominators emphasized how Joylyn excels at bridging geographical gaps in practice areas and keeps our teams running smoothly. Known for always prioritizing people, Joylyn is a mentor and advocate for her team and for the firm.
Also described as a “cheerleader for Aldrich,” Joylyn is unafraid to step outside of her purview to assist and inspire others. She is quick to step in and cover whatever she is called to.
In addition to Joylyn’s impact on her Aldrich family, Joylyn is also active in her community. She regularly volunteers with a local Boy Scout troop. Nominator and colleague, Marcy Lantz, mentioned Joylyn’s most recent adventure, “she led the group in a kayaking event, which entailed coordinating all the food for a week and keeping the kids safe and sound while kayaking in the San Juan Islands.”
We would all like to extend our personal congratulations to Joylyn and thank her for her continued dedication to Aldrich and her community. Servant leaders are at the core of the Aldrich culture, and we are lucky to work with someone as supportive and encouraging as Joylyn.
