According to the chamber, the award is presented to an organization committed to active philanthropy and who encourages their staff to participate in and contribute to the development of social responsibility. The Business Awards Dinner is held annually to recognize excellence in business, innovative practices, outstanding contributions to the community and businesses that stand out among their peers.

Aldrich offers many opportunities throughout the year for employees to give back. Most recently, Aldrich sponsored two teams to participate in the Meals-on-Wheels “Wiggin’ Out” 5K walk/run in San Diego. The firm also holds an annual charity bowling tournament where the winning teams are each awarded $1,000 to donate to their favorite charity. Additionally, Aldrich sponsors an annual Action Community Service Day where staff in each of the geographic locations volunteer together at a designated nonprofit.
