Healthcare providers who received one or more Provider Relief Fund (PRF) payments exceeding $10,000, in aggregate, from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021, must report on how these funds were used by March 31, 2023 in the PRF Reporting Portal. Payment received during this period must have been used by December 31, 2022.
The Phase 4 and ARP Rural payment reconsiderations deadline is February 21. Providers who believe their Phase 4 and/or ARP Rural payment was miscalculated have an opportunity to submit a payment reconsideration request by this deadline.
The Provider Relief Fund was established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act in 2020 and allowed healthcare providers to apply for payments made for healthcare-related expenses or lost revenue attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic.
To submit reports, providers must first register in the PRF Reporting Portal. After submitting their report, providers must return any unused funds from Phase 4 within 30 days after the end of the reporting period.
