Northwest Employee Benefits Joins the AKT Family of Companies

AKT announces that Northwest Employee Benefits will join the AKT Family of Companies effective October 1, and will become a part of AKT Benefit Advisors LP. Steve and Kevin Doty, both with a long history in the Portland employee benefits community, will bring their decades of experience to the firm.

Steve has considerable expertise in legislative issues impacting health care reform, including serving as the Chair of the Health Insurance Reform Advisory Committee in 1995 and being directly involved in the drafting and implementing of legislation that created significant health insurance reforms in Oregon, bringing the state into compliance with the federal HIPAA legislation. They both work closely with a variety of professional services organizations and individuals.
